Capital One was seeking a new content management system (CMS) to rebuild their banking website. The solution needed to integrate with their existing Angular 2 framework, Andromeda, and support a wide range of business requirements—including security, automation, performance, and workflow. It also needed to simplify content management for internal teams and provide advanced marketing capabilities to engage customers across multiple persona groups.
Concord implemented a new digital experience platform (DXP) and integrated it with Capital One’s Angular framework. The solution was configured to support an Andromeda publishing workflow while using a single-page application (SPA) model. In this setup, the CMS handles all requests through a standard Angular routing system guided by a DXP-generated sitemap. Concord partnered with Capital One’s IT team to configure Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery pipelines, so new pages and updates became available immediately to content contributors and site visitors. A layout-as-a-service microservice delivered content from the platform to the presentation layer, and serverless technologies like S3 and Lambda handled live traffic to reduce downtime. Concord also built a custom Angular reporting application to provide insights on content and site performance.
