Victoria’s Secret sought to modernize its technical ecosystem and streamline content contribution by replacing an antiquated, home-grown content management system (CMS). The goal was to establish a future-proof architecture to support the growth of the brand’s digital engagement practice, while maintaining the separation of content from delivery to preserve the site’s super-fast rendering for millions of daily users. Centered on implementing a new digital experience platform (DXP) in a headless model, the initiative aimed to resolve pain points from the legacy system and introduce a new collection of marketing tools to deepen customer engagement.
While the internal development team began the implementation, they faced challenges aligning stakeholders, managing complex requirements, and socializing the solution across the organization. Concord partnered with internal teams to facilitate architectural discussions, redesign the solution to meet requirements, and recommend incremental architecture layers based on best practices. Concord created an application to deliver and configure content as experience-as-a-service, and the headless Bloomreach Experience CMS enabled contributors to create and layout pages and enter content efficiently. The team also supported the definition of an advantageous content contribution model and worked alongside internal development teams to complete the implementation. By collaborating closely with business, technical, and development teams, the solution was successfully crafted, implemented, and adopted.
